Edwin (Ed) O’Malley

As a life-long, year-round resident of the Bay Head and Mantoloking area, Ed combines his outstanding local knowledge and connections with his 20 years’ real estate experience to work for every client. His commitment to service is of the highest caliber.

He joined Diane Turton, Realtors in August 2003, and in 2004, formed a very successful partnership with Suzie Van Schoick.  Their success as a team continues to this day. Most recently Suzie and Ed were recognized as the Real Estate Team with the Most Closed Residential Single Family Sales in Bay Head and Mantoloking in 2020* (*Based on MORR MLS Residential Single Family Closed Sales in Bay Head and Mantoloking for 2020). Ed is an avid photographer, and is also a licensed drone pilot.

To further support his clients, Ed has earned the following designations: e-PRO and Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) certifications in order to better serve their clients with the latest information and technology (2014); Seller Representation Specialist (SRS) designation, in order to better counsel and represent their seller clients (2016); and in 2017, Ed earned his Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a hallmark of both experience and education.  Ed has also earned his ABR (Accredited Buyers' Representative), RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert), and GREEN ( NAR's designation for education regarding marketing and understanding green properties [smart features, energy efficiency, and other environmentally aware practices.] A complete listing of his certifications and designations can be found here.

Ed graduated from Kenyon College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1997. While still a student at Kenyon, Ed founded his consulting company, Osprey Technology Consulting. His continuing involvement with his consulting clients complements his experience as a realtor in the Bay Head area. Ed is also an alumnus of St. George’s School in Middletown, RI. 

When not working, Ed is an avid sailor, skier, and fisherman, vacationing in Florida and Vermont. He is also an active member of Mantoloking Yacht Club and Manasquan River Golf Club. In addition, he also gives his time as a volunteer and board member of Save Barnegat Bay (NJ), a volunteer for the Mt. Washington Observatory (NH), and a consultant to the Mantoloking Environmental Commission.  Ed is also a member of the Point Pleasant Beach Rotary, the Bay Head Business Association, and is a member of the Algonquin Theatre Board of Directors.
